What We Do
MOVING SALISBURY BEACH FORWARD
Here’s how we are making a difference
The Salisbury Beach Partnership advocates for:
- creation of public open space and amenities that are welcoming and fulfill visitor needs
- establishment of Salisbury Beach as a quality year-round destination for families with dynamic attractions and programs
- maintaining access to the waterfront
- protection of our coastal natural resource
- implementation of environment-friendly programs that promote trash management, encourage recycling, and help keep the beach clean and accessible
Our Accomplishments
- Procuring a Historic Carousel + Building A Stunning Forever Home
In 2023 , the Partnership completed restoration of a 115-year-old hand carved Louff-Mangels carousel and opened the $5 million Salisbury Beach Carousel Pavilion. - Protecting the Beach
In collaboration with State and local officials, the Partnership helped establish the Salisbury Beach Resiliency Task Force. Due to extreme climate-driven threats, the group focuses on erosion mitigation, dune restoration, the planting of beach grass, installation of sand fencing, and other important efforts to protect our coastal natural resource. - Advocating for An Oceanfront Boardwalk
The Partnership’s leadership was instrumental in securing State funds for the 680-foot-long handicapped-accessible oceanfront boardwalk that opened in 2017. - Providing Quality Entertainment at Beachfront Stage
A centerpiece of the beachfront for 15+ years, the Partnership’s state-of-the-art stage hosts free concerts, programs and events for public enjoyment throughout the summer season. - Installing Broadway Shade Structures
Built by the Partnership, three pergola shade structures allow visitors to spend sun-free time on the Broadway Mall park area. - Greenifying the Broadway Mall
In spring and summer, the Partnership plants and maintains the colorful blooming planters and carousel window boxes that line Broadway, offering green-ified public outdoor space for visitors to enjoy in the outdoor oceanfront environment. - Ensuring Proper Trash Management
Led by the Partnership, local artist hand-painted trash receptacles beckon visitors to keep the beach clean and dispose of their trash responsibly. The Partnership works with the Town of Salisbury Department of Public Works to ensure adequate waste pick up’s at the beach center during peak season.
